At Bare Faced Skin, we believe great skincare starts with a truly clean foundation — for your skin and for the planet. Our mission is simple: to elevate everyday cleansing with premium biodegradable disposable face cloths and towels that deliver exceptional hygiene, comfort, and performance without compromising environmental responsibility.

We created our range to solve a common problem in skincare routines — reusable towels and traditional cotton pads can harbor bacteria, spread impurities, and create unnecessary waste. Our biodegradable face cloths and towels provide a fresh, ultra-soft, single-use alternative designed to support healthier skin with every cleanse.

We are passionate about two things: the highest standards in skin care and a lower impact on the environment. That’s why our products are made from carefully selected biodegradable materials, created to be gentle on sensitive skin while naturally breaking down after disposal.

After a career within both nursing and as a paramedic, Clare opened her first clinic, Essex Body Sculpture in 2017. 

Over the years Clare has introduced more and more skin treatments within her clinic and has successfully helped hundreds of lovely clients with their skincare and treatments. 

About six months ago, following a conversation with a client who was struggling with acne, it came up in conversation that she was using a flannel and water to wash her face everyday. A flannel that was only washed once a week! She felt like she wasn’t in the financial position to invest in skincare however the one piece of advice that Clare did give was to at the very least stop using a flannel As it was dirty and harbouring bacteria. 

This got Clare thinking about how on a daily basis so many people thought it was ok to use a dirty flannel and then dry their face on their dirty bath towel!

Compressed disposable flannels are not a new thing however finding an effective disposable yet environmentally friendly towel wasn’t quite so easy to source. Clare did manage to source some towels however they were being shipped from the US and customs charges and delays did not make these an affordable option……. The rest is history!

The most important aspect was that Clare wanted an affordable, environmentally friendly yet effective and aesthetically pleasing product that either looked good within Clares clinic or looked good in her bathroom. Neither the compressed towels or the face cloths carried a brand that she was proud to have on show…….. so she decided to design and source her own! This is how BareFaceSkin was born!
